Dai Jikoku-tenno is one of the Four Heavenly Kings, with his name meaning “Great Heavenly King Upholder of the Nation” and the deity of the east. Dai Jikoku-tenno is the most powerful of the Four Heavenly Kings and acts to protect the world.
His appearance is of an armoured man, with a helmet and wind-blown scarves. His skin is green and often has an expression described as wrathful. He carries a stringed instrument, which is a reminder to follow the Middle Way, and if not his instrument a sword.
